Yulex offers medical device manufacturers a wide variety of uncompounded and custom compounded natural rubber emulsions to suit medical device manufacturing processes, such as dipping, casting, threading, spraying, sheeting and foaming.
Yulex® Natural Rubber is the only plant-based latex for manufacturers of medical devices and consumer products that is safe for people with Type I latex allergy and where demanding physical properties are required. Yulex Natural Rubber is made using environmentally sustainable, clean technology applied to a renewable guayule crop that is grown in the Southwest United States. Unlike synthetics, which are made from costly petrochemicals or 100% imported tropical Hevea; Yulex Natural Rubber is a true domestically grown and produced material.
Initially produced for exam and surgical gloves, Yulex Natural Rubber is quickly becoming the material of choice for compliant balloon catheters, ultra-soft thin-film condoms, dental dams and tools, surgical tubing, adhesives, medical films and other specialty medical device products.
Yulex Natural Rubber materials can be sterilized using EO, EB and gamma sterilization methods and can be custom blended and compounded to exacting specifications.
